The 2019 Bolaire has an uncomplicated but fresh blackberry, bilberry and marine scented bouquet that bides its time and takes a few minutes to open. The oak here is neatly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit laced with graphite, very well judged acidity and a very nicely poised finish. Is this really a Bordeaux Supérieur or a Grand Cru Classé in disguise?

A medium-bodied red with a solid core of fruit and hazelnut, as well as just a hint of nutmeg and other dried spices. Medium-bodied with medium, round tannins and a delicious finish. 50% merlot and 50% petit verdot. Already fun, but will improve with another year or two in bottle.
