Dichtes würziges Brombeerbouquet, dahinter viel Cassis, Schattenmorellensaft und Veilchen. Am kräftigen Gaumen mit seidiger Textur und genial stützender Frische, präzise vinifiziert. Im gebündelten, sehr dichten Finale blaue Beeren, kühlendes Menthol und Lakritze. Grossartige Leistung, kann noch zulegen!

The 2018 Faugères is fabulous. Silky and nuanced, the 2018 is striking right out of the gate. As I noted previously, the 2018 marks a transition to a more finessed style that is hugely appealing. There is plenty of the richness Faugères fans expect, but, at the same time, the wine is so well balanced and harmonious. Hints of rose petal, lavender, spice and dark fruits linger on the memorable close. The 2018 is an undeniably sexy wine.

Über Chateau Faugeres
Das Château Faugères umfasst 37 ha homogene Weinberge auf den schönsten Terroirs von Saint-Emilion: Die Reben wachsen auf dem Kalkplateau und an lehm- und kalkhaltigen Hängen mit süd-südsüdöstlicher Ausrichtung bestehend aus Kalkbraunerde auf Asterienkalk. Dieses Terroir wird auf nachhaltige und natürliche Weise bewirtschaftet und wurde von all seinen Eigentümern stets mit großem Respekt behandelt.
