The 2023 de Fieuzal reflects the estate’s ongoing refinement in matters of ripeness, élevage and extraction, revealing a complex and vibrant bouquet of cassis, mulberries, peony and rose petals, subtly accented by menthol. Medium- to full-bodied, precise and dense, it is crystalline and seamless, layered and finely textured, framed by powdery tannins and concluding with a long, ethereal and floral finish. This is a particularly accomplished rendition that allows both terroir and vintage to speak with clarity and authority.

50 % Merlot, 40 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 10 % Petit Verdot, 46 hl/ha. Dicht verwobenes Bouquet, rotbeerige Konturen, Brasil-Tabak und Noisette-Schokolade, dahinter Preiselbeernektar, helles Edelholz und weißer Pfeffer. Am geradlinigen saftigen Gaumen mit seidiger Textur und herrlicher reifer Extraktfülle, besticht dabei durch Reinheit und Präzision, perfekt balancierte Rasse und sein engmaschiges reifes Tanningerüst. Very earthy, with ground coffee, elderberries and a thyme-like herbal note. The succulent palate is medium- to full-bodied, with a lovely savory touch in the finish. Better from 2023.

Black with red fruits, flowers and cherries create the perfume. Medium-bodied, with a strong sense of purity to the fruits, the wine is elegant, soft, and polished with layers of sweet, round, creamy berries on the mid-palate, and in the finish. The wine blends 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Petit Verdot. Drink from 2027-2045.

Vibrant plum in colour, with juice, density and grip, another sign of how they are evolving the structure and architecture of this wine, giving it nuance without sacrificing the complexity. Cocoa bean, sweet berry, fruits, this is delicious.
