"The 2013 Aria di Caiarossa is a blend of 28% Syrah, 22% Cabernet Franc, 21% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Alicante. This wine works well, strapping together its various parts to create tight unity and balance. It shows a rich and velvety texture with lingering flavors of dark fruit, spice and smoke. We are just a little way from the Tuscany coast, in the Val di Cecina the southern part of the Province of Pisa, near the community of Riparbella, a small town of medieval origin that develops across the main road in a longitudinal direction, along the southern slopes of Poggio di Nocola, almost 600 meters above sea level.

Far from the most celebrated tourist routes lies an almost secluded part of Tuscany, enveloped by pristine and silent nature scenarios. In the Val di Cecina it will be easy to cross paths with passionate naturalists as it is with gourmet travelers. The perfect destination for those who love active holidays with many itineraries for hiking, biking, trekking and horseback riding. In val di Cecina there are also extraordinary Nature reserves such as Berignone, Montenero and Monterufoli-Caselli.

In the Val di Cecina, the hills are scattered with medieval villages, military strongholds, parish churches, abbeys and other settlements. Moreover streams, rock walls to climb, and tunnels of abandoned mines to follow, surround the road that leads to the inland, where the most popular destination is the Etruscan city of Volterra. A city of art that, like few others, can document with its monuments, three thousand years of history and still retains traces of its majestic past which can be explored by visiting the Etruscan Museum, the Art Gallery, the Museum of Sacred Art, the Ecomuseum of Alabaster and the Viti Palace.
