Vinous Neal Martin
The 2017 Lanessan has a well defined bouquet with brambly red fruit, cedar and light tobacco notes, your quintessential Haut-Médoc really. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, quite supple tannins. Whilst it is not remarkably complex, it is nicely balanced and pliant towards the finish, a judicious white pepper and clove note lingering on the aftertaste. Fine.
Wine Advocate
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Lanessan gives stewed cherries, dried mulberries and cassis on the nose with tobacco and new leather hints plus a touch of Mediterranean herbs. The palate is medium-bodied, firm and chewy with a good fruit core and a fruity finish.
