Dunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zarte Kirschfrucht, ein Hauch von Brombeerkonfit, feine, tabakig unterlegte Kräuterwürze. Saftig, elegant, frisch strukturiert, Herzkirschen, reife Tannine, gute Frische und Länge, sicheres Reifepotenzial.

The 2019 Grand-Pontet feels a bit static on the nose, with plenty of fruit but missing the vivacity and energy of its peers. The palate is actually more promising with fine grained tannins and well judged acidity, a silky texture towards quite a persistent finish. If the aromatics can just improve then it will warrant a higher score.
