The 2016 (Westhofener) Morstein is clear, deep and very chalky on the nose whereas the ripe, concentrated Riesling and hazelnut aromas remain in the background. Full-bodied, round and very elegant on the palate, this is a mouth-filling, fresh, silky-textured but firmly structured Morstein Riesling with a long, tensioned, highly complex and enormously salty finish. Fine chalky tannins add further structure. A great Morstein.
