Handlese. 14 Monate in neuen und begrauchten französische Barriques ausgebaut, zusätzlich 6 Monate Flaschenreife.

Wine Advocate
The 2009 Montevetrano shows little sign of aging. The wine is fresh and bright with a full bouquet of primary fruit aromas. Black cherry, prune and plum segue to spice, leather and moist pipe tobacco. The wine is soft and plush with a tactile sense of textural richness. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Aglianico is inky black in appearance. The mouthfeel offers a little more tertiary definition, with balsam notes, rosemary oil and Indian spice.

The Montevetrano story starts in the mid 80s, with a group of friends who love wine and has the desire to experiment. It was 1983, and among them there were Silvia Imparato and Riccardo Cotarella. After six years, there is the first bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon 90% and Aglianico 10%, the first vintage of a wine that will adopt the same name of the castle: Montevetrano. An extraordinary success, that still continues today. starts in the mid 80s, with a group of friends who love wine and has the desire to experiment.
