96 % Merlot, 4 % Cabernet Franc, 14,6 %-vol., 42 hl/ha. Sattes Rubin. Komplexes Bouquet mit rotbeerigen Konturen, Sandelholz und Johannisbeergelee, dahinter heller Tabak und Lakritze. Am mittleren Gaumen mit engmaschigem Tanningerüst, mineralischem Kern und fein spröder Textur. Im gebündelten Finale zeigt sich die Delikatesse introvertiert und endet mit Wacholder und Pflaumenhaut. Kann noch zulegen. 

James Suckling 
Perfumed nose of blackberries, purple plums, violets, cloves and lemon peel. It’s medium-to full-bodied with fine, supple tannins. Creamy and silky with a juicy finish. 100% merlot. Try from 2024. 

Neal Martin 
The 2019 La Cabanne, which is pure Merlot, has a sensual bouquet with raspberry and wild strawberry aromas, touches of rose petal and just a little dark chocolate. The palate is medium-bodied with very lithe tannins, focused and nimble, then gaining weight towards the precise, dark chocolate-tinged finish. This is one of the finest La Cabannes that I have encountered out of barrel. This is a great wine from François Estager. Tasted twice with consistent notes. 

Jeff Leve 
Flowers intermingled with wet earth and cherries and a touch of cocoa hit all the notes here. Medium-bodied, elegant, refined, soft and silky, with freshness and energy to all the black plums and mocha on the mid-palate that carry all the way through to the ripe, lusciously-textured finish. Since 2015 La Cabanne has been getting better and better and 2019 is clearly the best vintage produced here yet. Drink from 2024-2040.
