Das Bouquet ist ein Obstkorb mit gelbem und weißem Fruchtfleisch, in dem Pfirsich und exotische Früchte dominieren. Ein paar Noten von Vanille und Brioche verleihen dem Chateauneuf Blanc einen Hauch von zusätzlicher Üppigkeit. Der Reichtum entfaltet sich in einer langen Sarabande anhaltender Aromen. Grenache und Clairette, gereift in Bottichen und in Fässern (3/4 davon sind neues Holz) unter Rühren mit Roussanne für 7 Monate. 60% Grenache, 20% Clairette, 20% Roussanne.

I love the very fresh white-flower and honeycomb aromas of this rich and creamy dry white. With a bit of aeration notes of lemon zest and lavender develop. The well-judged tannins nicely support the long, silky finish. Drink or hold.

The 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is approximately half Grenache Blanc, with the balance a blend of Clairette and Roussanne. The Grenache and Clairette are vinified and matured in concrete, while the Roussanne is barrel fermented and aged, and then the components are blended. It's marked by struck flint, melon and tangerine on the nose, while the palate is medium to full-bodied and reasonably generous but also crisp and slightly bitter on the finish. Drink it over the next year or two.

1973 wurde die Domaine de la Janasse geboren und nach dem Familienbetrieb in Courthézon in der Ortschaft „La Janasse“ benannt. Aimé war ehrgeizig. Er wusste, dass er fabelhafte Böden hat und er wollte das Anwesen durch den Erwerb neuer Grundstücke erweitern. Von 15 Hektar am Anfang hat La Janasse inzwischen mehr als 90 Hektar erreicht. Die Domaine de La Janasse produziert konzentrierte und komplexe Weine aus bis zu 100 Jahre alten Rebstöcken. Die Weine sind zum Teil hoch prämiert. Ein Familiengeleites Weingut.
